I thought it was interesting that you found this picture. MA3 Kaczynski (from the picture) worked for me until a couple of weeks ago! Unfortunately he is no longer in the Navy. If I remember correctly, I am driving the boat in the background. Thought it was pretty cool to see this shot on the net.

Thanks for the comment Chief, and more importantly, thanks for serving. Interesting mission and concept, bringing back the brown-water Navy. Fast, small boats with .50’s – guess you don’t get harassed by jet skis!

I dont know how often you check this site but i have orders to IBU 411 now I was wondering if you were still there or have you already left?

In my book, the picture shows the equivalent of the Army’s old Nam-era M60 MG which fires the 7.62mm NATO round (military equiv. to the .308 Winchester), … NOT a .50cal weapon.
