After reviewing all images submitted by Lebanese freelance photographer Photoshop artist Adnan Hajj, Reuters found yet another altered image and pulled all his images from their database.
It established on Monday that a photograph of an Israeli F-16 fighter over Nabatiyeh, southern Lebanon and dated Aug 2, had also been doctored to increase the number of flares dropped by the plane from one to three.
Again, I have to wonder what he sought to gain by cloning and pasting additional flares in his effort to make the image more appealing. Flares are used to decoy heat-seeking anti-aircraft missiles, they are not a weapon. Hajj not only compromised the ethical reporting of the on-going fight but showed his ignorance of his subject matter.
