I cannot get used to the ski-jump. Is it mo-better from an aviator’s standpoint?

The date-stamp on that video was from back in 1998. Seems to me that ship is now a casino in Hong Kong or some other Chinese port.

I remember saying I’d give a month pay to watch the Russian’s first full-scale flight ops at sea back when they started this. It took us a good 70 years to get where we are in carrier operations – I was looking forward to watching Ruskie hook-up petty officers and Fly 2 directors and hook runners getting blown over the side left and right.

Wonder if those pilots can join Tailhook?
