It was a last minute decision to make a run north. Several things converged: I haven’t been home to see the parents in a while, I need materials for the canoe restoration that just aren’t available in the land of red clay, and the annual Wooden Canoe Heritage Association Assembly happens to be this week just a few hours up the road from the farm. Plus there is the heat of July in Alabama. Road trip!
As an added bonus I’ve never been to the finger lakes region of western New York, the Assemby is being held in Keuka Park, NY.
We’re also testing the old theory that I close more deals while on vacation than I do while at home. It used to work but that may have changed – I hope not.
Posting will depend on access.

Hey, have fun! Sounds like a good trip. Take lots of pictures, please, at the Wooden Canoe Assembly.
And don’t know what “deals” you’re doing, but — again, your schedule puts most people to shame!
So, are you there yet, huh? Are you there, did you get there, whaddya doin’?
(It’s Monday, so I have to chatter at someone at lunch!!)
Have fun — just know that Pinch is gone, too. Wow, you guys are really going to be sorry when I take vacation!
