This is what scares me about Government run health care. I wouldn’t have wanted it under Bush, either. I just don’t think the Government can do it. Sorry, don’t mean to hurt anybody’s feelings, but — no, the Gov. is just not capable of doing this.
What a load! To offhandedly dismiss government-run programs as impossible to work is simply stupid. I don’t see anyone effectively competing with many of the government-run programs, nor would any of us want to be without many of them.
Stossel’s notion that government stifles creativity is ludicrous. The reason the USA is the world’s leader in scientific and technological innovation is precisely because of the existence of the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Without these government-run organizations, we would be far, far behind much of the rest of the world in innovation, technological advancement and health care.
Stossel has been proven a biased provocateur many times before- he’s there for ratings. Stir it up, damn the truth!
And people, stop spouting Hannity/Limbaugh crap, and THINK!… It’s not “government run” healthcare if the government only provides an OPTION! Good god, people, think!
